That is what I remember form my last vist in 1970s. It is nice to hear that it is still great. Leningrad metro is ok, except for information. I was referring to suburban commuter trains, which are in a much worse shape (see my post under "Yummy lard")

Wojtek ----- The first time I stepped into the Moscow metro (the Park Kultury station, with the big hammer and sickle at the back of the Kolntevaya Liniya) it blew my mind. Stained glass, chandeliers, statuary, it's like a fucking chathedral down there. All for 7 rubles a go.
