I think I know what you mean, it drives me up the wall. Actually I thought it was just my in-box which was sorting mail by nominal date. My earlier version of Eudora used to sort them in order of receipt, but this new version mixes everything up. As well as this, the battery is dead in my iMac, so every time the power is interrupted (a regular occurrence out here in the back-blocks) the computer resets the clock to 1/1/1904, the beginning of time for Macs.

I am reluctant to set my clock to California time to solve the problem for you however, aside from the fact that this would create other problems, I have vowed never to set foot in that police state. Setting my clock to their time seems like the thin edge of the wedge. ;-)
