Then why do so many people in this country fall for Bush's manipulations? It is painfully obvious that his speeches are living incarnation of Orwell's 1984, specifically, the "minute of hate" when the Big Brother names the current enemy of the state and the human robots hate him thereby venting their frustrations before returning to work. You would expect that seemingly intelligent and resourceful people would see through this crap - as most Eastern Europeans indeed did when listening to official speeches. Yet, the majority of people in this country genuinely fall for this crap. It is them who are disgrace, not the elite who can fool them time and again and get away with it.
