Rendell in '08?

There's some talk locally in Philadelphia of Ed Rendell launching
a campaign for president in '08.  Does he have the political 
capital to pull off a serious campaign?  Is he known outside of
the Northeast?  Are the days of the sweaty, overweight president
over?
