I said in-house talent. In most of the areas where we outsourced and were contemplating outsourcing, what management thought we did and what we did were two very different things. You can't replace 5-20 years worth of experience with just a certification and a training manual, which the outsourcing firms tried to do. We're manufacturing, not bleeding edge dot.com, and while 80% of what someone may do is documented and understood by others, that other 20% is what makes or breaks a system.
