When Pol Pot himself died and was cremated, a friend of mine was writing jokes for TV. He submitted this:
"Cambodian dictator Pol Pot died this week and was cremated on an outside pyre. Cambodians as far as five miles away were heard to say, "[sniff, sniff] Hey... do you smell Pot?"
To my intense disappointment, however, they didn't use it.
