I'm going to stick with my statements. There was lots of talk about digital rights management and other schemes during the dot-com peak, but it seems that a lot of that stuff dried up with the collapse of the dot-coms. Microsoft may be a big company, but it isn't invincible nor immune to market forces. There are many things that can happen that will force Microsoft to abandon its schemes for complete world domination.
