I am very appearance-conscious (i.e., vain), a serious iron-head (that is, 4 days a week in the gym), and an extremely conservative dresser. Conservative enough that other lawyers comment on it! (I felt at hom,e when I interviewed at my firm because the lawyers here mostly wear suits all the time.) Expensive classic suits in the summer -- summer suits, of course! -- ties even when I don't have to wear them. And hats. I mean fedoras, not baseball caps. My daughter says, "Dad, you're so _retro._" She also thinks I;m fooling myself if I don't admit that I look incredibly ancient, I mean, prehistoric, like antique. Rilly, rilly, rilly olllld. Like, just about dead, y'know? She herself dresses in Pretty Woman/Risky Business "clothes," tops that reveal, uh, too much, and pants that have anmost enough material to be a belt. At 13, she's not into boys yet though, although that will be coming soon.
