WE HEAR . . .

THAT political columnist Michael Tomasky is leaving New York magazine 
and moving to D.C. to edit the American Prospect, the political 
journal he describes as "somewhere to the right of the Nation and to 
the left of the New Republic" . . . THAT Shari Yost, who resigned as 
finance director for the Joe Lieberman campaign in what could be a 
big shakeup, was getting $24,000 a month.
