Blix criticises allies over Iraq weapons
The United Nations chief weapons inspector has criticised the quality of the intelligence given to him by the United States and Britain about Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction.

In the interview aired on TV, he suggests three scenarios: 1) the WMDs simply weren't there, 2) the WMDs are incredibly well hidden, or 3) Saddam was playing a poor game of brinksmanship to appear more of a menace than he actual was (at the expense of continued sanctions).
Blix avoids claiming outright that the US or UK intelligence was "sexed up", but does quib that the patience now demanded by the occupiers in the absence of Saddam was not given to inspectors before the war in his presence.
The US still rejects allowing UN weapons inspectors back into Iraq, and won't allow the IAEA to move unescorted. ... Isn't that grounds for regime change?
