There's a difference between capitalist meetings you can sleep through, as I do every day at work, and these emotionally draining mass meetings where the collective can cut your daily ration if you doze off for even a second.

.From my experience (not an original insight here), the best activists grab whatever power they can early on and then manipulate the meetings from behind the scenes. So most of the meetings cease becoming democratic after about a month.
