Yes. the Komsomol was actually expelled from the party for being "too extreme" and is now an indepedent political organization.

Zyuganov recently inducted 2,000 children into the Young Pioneers on Red Square.

The KPRF also gets support from a variety of business interests, but that's not electoral support of course, which as you say is mostly pensioners.

Actually, I'm pinning my hopes on Glazyev. If he could replace Zyuganov, I think the party could really go places.
