However, the neo-con idea of an acceptable Iranian government and the ideas of the Iranians themselves will, naturally, diverge dramatically. This is true even if it's not immediately apparent to the most idealistic Iranians (weren't their parents convinced the Ayatollah was the answer to the Shah? - desperation leads us astray).
Whatever assistance they (the Bush admin) might be willing to offer would resemble the shiny apple the witch gave to Snow White.
Apparently tasty and nutritious but ultimately fatal to genuine Iranian democracy and indenpendence.
