You better believe there's a double standard. look at Mosley-Brown, who also lost her seat, and was vilified as an embarassment with appalling judgment, for conduct no worse than what every white man in the Senate does every damn day. Unfortunately, if you are a woman, and especially a Black woman, and most especially even a leetle beet peenk, then you have to be like Caesar's wife, beyond reproach. It's unfair, but you are not permitted lapses in judgment. jks
