LONDON (CNN/Money) - Anti-war protesters halted oil trading at the International Petroleum Exchange on Monday afternoon, a Citigroup source told CNNfn.
According to the source, traders were evacuated after about 40 protesters, both male and female, forced their way onto the trading floor. Several fights broke out.
"Some anti-war protestors broke into the exchange and are making a nuisance of themselves. We have stopped trading," one futures broker told Reuters.
An IPE official wouldn't comment on the story. --- Sent from UnionMail Service [http://mail.union.org.za]
