--At Coalition Central Command Headquarters, RIA-Novosti was told that 
"nothing is known" about a coalition plane being shot down over Baghdad. 
Based on the accounts of two independent witnesses, BBC earlier reported that 
3 parachutes were seen over the Iraqi capital. The BBC emphasized that the 
Pentagon is maintaining a strict policy of not commenting about such 
information because this "endangers complex operations to rescue flight 
teams."

--The Turkish Ambassador in Washington DC told CNN that the US is not going 
to use Turkish airpace. 40 ships are being redeployed from the Mediterranean 
through the Suez canal to the Persian Gulf.
