Certainly the primary focus of the conference will be on the state of US imperialism six weeks after the war of aggression against Iraq began, but the focus will also be on the downward trajectory of freedom inside the US and the prospects for anti-imperialist resistance.
There will be four panels in succession, with some (sadly very limited) time for discussion. All the panelists listed below have confirmed and reconfirmed. Almost all write for MR, at least on occasion.
The cost of $75 includes lunch. There are relatively inexpensive hotel accommodations available if arranged before April 18th. Space is quite limited (we're using a single auditorium with seating for about 300 in the UVM student union building).
The annual walk to the grave of John Brown at his farm near Lake Placid (an hour+ away from Burlington across Lake Champlain) will take place this year on Sunday, May 4th, and many of us plan to do this.
We've never done anything quite like this before, and will do our best to make it worthwhile.
