Actually, the audience reaction was more mixed than that. He had some applause as he started the speech, then the boos started. There were, in addition to Moore, a significant number of others who spoke against the war, though they were forbidden to do so....including Almadovar. Most people were less angry than Moore and less confontational, but this "show of shows" which goes out to 150 countries is definitely showing a polarization of U.S. opinion about the war -- ranging, in the case of the Oscars, from indifference to passionate opposition.
