They are the source for the english-translations that you agreed should/could be sent to the list daily--from Steven, who uses a www.aeronautics.ru address, where the english version is hosted. It's a report based on Russian military intelligence, GRU, compiled by former/retired russian mil and mil historians. A russian version of Stratfor. If you search around www.aeronautics.ru, they explain how the reports are compiled.
Obviously, Russian intelligence has a lot of reasons to monitor what's going on.
They have been spot on 75% of the time, I'd say. They tend to report incidents before US and Brit sources do.
