Anyone had a chance to look at this in-depth yet? Has been getting some good reviews in anarchist magazines - a nice complement to the reprinting on Pannekoek's _Workers Councils_, perhaps. The website for the book, www.aftercapitalism.com, is not so bad itself. (And I've heard the criticism that in the past, re: "Pentagon Capitalism," that Melman inflated stats re: the footprint of the military-industrial complex on the economy.)
Last passage of _After Capitalism_ reads:
"There are many possible paths and time lines for disalienation actions, too many to forecast. The very readiness to consider alternatives to hierarchical rule in every industry and calling, may well be triggered by a repeated question about the top managers, and their staffs, openly stated:
"What do we need them for?"
