I don't know much about genetics, but what Lewontin says I can pretty much rely on to be true. There is a difference, however, between accepting (as we must) the linguistic division of labor, knowing some science and something about the the way science works, and taking Science Says! on pure faith,  the way the medievals accepted the dictates of the church. My point is that for most people in modern America, Science Says! is at the Ask Dr. Science! level. jks
