...The prevalence of those who engaged in recommended levels of activity increased slightly from 24.3% in 1990 to 25.4% in 1998, and the prevalence of those reporting insufficient activity increased from 45.0% in 1990 to 45.9% in 1998 (Figure 1 <http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5009a3.htm#fig1>). Those reporting no physical activity decreased from 30.7% in 1990 to 28.7% in 1998. The components of recommended activity remained relatively stable (Figure 2 <http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5009a3.htm#fig2>).
