With the upcoming court battle on copyrights (see http://www.bayarea.com/mld/cctimes/business/5879384.htm ) and the unknown variables with the Homeland security crap, I found this nice program called PeerGuardian, which blocks the known IP addresses of copyright watchers and the government (from the Department of Justice to the French Police!)

So far it has blocked attempts from the MPAA and some film company in Florida.

Now of course, it's impossible to block everything they throw at ya, but it gives a little bit of peace of mind.

You can download it here: http://www.methlabs.org/methlabs.htm

Once you install it, you'll want to find the most recent updated evil IP list, go here: http://www.simply-click.org/uploadertest/pg2.asp

Just make sure PeerGuardian is running, and when you click the links, the IP address will be automatically placed in the bad IP list. --- Sent from UnionMail Service [http://mail.union.org.za]
