This comment is not merely snide but it also misrepresents the discussion.
I work in alliances all the time. I am curently an adviser to a national civil liberties coalition that includes leftists, centrists, libertarians, and rightists. I think that at times it is appropriate to forge broad tactical alliances.
However, I do not think it is appropriate to stab my allies in the back. If we decide to work with the fascist right--and that is what the LaRouchites are--against corporate globalism and American empire; then we are saying we are willing to abandon gays, feminists, Jews, and almost every socialist and communist group in the U.S. These are the groups the LaRouchites viciously attack, along with most progressive Blacks.
Fascism is a militant form of right-wing populist nationalism. Proposing that this is an alternative to corporate globalism and American empire is literally suicidal for the Left.
