Jesus H Christ, James, you're citing this right-wing piece of crap? Nothing they say should be believed without checking the source. Even though Peter Gottschalk shredded their stuff on income mobility in the Dallas Fed's 1995 annual report, they didn't change a word of it when they reprinted the essay in the book. They didn't even acknowledge it.
