It is often reported that Wilde said this, or something like this, and I'm perfectly prepared to believe that he might have done, but does anyone know where or when he is supposed to have said it or written it in the first place, or know when it was first attributed to him? It isn't, for example, in The Soul of Man under Socialism, which is his major discussion of the subject.
