Dean is indeed the next Clinton. If you imagine he wins, he'll sell ordinary folks even further down the river and do even more damage to the image of liberalism, just as Slick Willie did.

Want proof? Check out what he's maneuvering to do on campaign financing. He's going to join Bush in dropping out of the matching funds system. He claims he's doing this so he can win, then turn around and change the system. If you believe that one, he's also got some prime tropical beachfront property for you in Alaska...

Anybody who truly intended to fight for campaign finance reform would stay within the public system and slam the shit out of Bush for flouting it and trying to buy the election. It would be a superb way to raise the class issue, and would also stand some chance of aiding enough liberal Congressional candidates to actually create the legislative basis for substantial reform.

Dean is just the logical next phase of DP political marketing. The message: "He uses computers and the internet, so he must be advanced!"
