Once upon a time I knew someone who proclaimed himself a proud member of the 
REPUBLICAN Socialist Organizating Committee.

I think his theory was that Republicans are much more effective organizers of 
socialist alternatives than anything on the ravelling edges of the Democratic 
Party.

Do you suppose such a thing could have enough zip to attract the ire of the 
nutball rightwing commentator class????
