One of the big points in the "Globalization" chapter, not to be lost, is the need to retire the G-word:


> Using the word makes it harder to talk sharply about things
> like the intensified rule of money, the dismantling of social

> "Globalization" has had a busy decade; it needs a long rest.

Perhaps the portion of the chapter most relevant to the Nation readers is the part on "IFG ideology". Judging from personal encounters, Korton strikes me as a bigger influence on the activist left than Empire.
