Polish Solidarity ended up more Catholic than anything else. The point
is, though, that just because certain words and ideas have been often
employed by political currents of which one doesn't approve, be they
Communist or anti-Communist, doesn't mean that they must be necessarily
ditched. If you get a chance, take a look at a section entitled "Being
Driven into a Corner" in Kenneth Burkeís _Attitudes Toward History_
(1937).
