I just read your imaginary speech about Dean. Several questions occurred to me.
1) Why should any Democrat trust your motives?
2) Related to 1), why shouldn't I suspect that your real motive is that conservatives and Republicans fear Dean because he's tough and successful, and not your usual weasly Democrat with "loser" written all over him?
3) How can a reader take seriously a call for civility in public life coming from somone who draws a paycheck from Rupert Murdoch? --
