Yes. The rationale is that it's ok to use "fuck" and "shit" figuratively but not to refer to sexual or excretory functions. So "that's fuckin' great" and "I don't give a shit" are ok - but not "I wanna fuck him" or "I gotta take a shit." Isn't that beautiful? I'm sure professors of semiotics are hard at work parsing this.
