I am not in the habit of quoting the Moscow Times, but this story speaks volumes about todays Russia. Fin Min Kudrin recently stated that Byzantium had come to end!

Report: A Kremlin-Prosecutor Wedding
The Moscow Times
17/11/03
The prosecutor general's son intends to marry the daughter of deputy head of the presidential administration Igor Sechin, Moskovsky Komsomolets reported Friday.
Prosecutor General Vladimir Ustinov's son Dmitry will tie the knot with Sechin's daughter next Saturday, the newspaper said. The report did not provide further details.
But the newspaper pointed out that Sechin is widely believed to lead the so-called siloviki -- the Kremlin clan of St. Petersburgers that is seen as being behind the politically charged investigation into Yukos and the arrest of its founder, Mikhail Khodorkovsky. The Prosecutor General's Office is carrying out the investigation and ordered the arrest.
Officials at the Kremlin and prosecutor's office could not be reached for comment Sunday.
The marriage would not be the first among political clans. Perhaps the best-known love story was between Yeltsin's younger daughter and adviser, Tatyana Dyachenko, and Yeltsin's former chief of staff Valentin Yumashev, who got married in October 2001. In February 2001, Yumashev's daughter Polina married metals baron Oleg Deripaska
