I have a feeling that a lot of the issue that arise
around AI is that up until now, the programmer has
been a God of his own little tract of land.  What is
interesting, and I am starting to do a little work in
this area myself, is the field of "emergence" or
specific to software, "swarm programming"/evolutionary
programming.
