Without U.S. anti-war labor empowerment within the U.S. media, university, foundation, political and economic world, the era of permanent war abroad, "jobless recovery" and domestic repression (as indicated by what the anti-FTAA protesters have been subjected to in Miami over the last few days) is likely to continue. CIA-linked unionism, however, has historically blocked U.S. anti-war labor empowerment in both the AFL-CIO unions and in the media, university, foundation, political and economic worlds Another result of CIA-linked unionism is the steep decline since 1945 in the percentage of U.S. workers who are unionized and the failure of the AFL-CIO to support U.S. anti-war labor demands that the CIA be abolished.

Speaking of abolishing the CIA, are any of the AFL-CIO leadership-backed Democratic or GOP presidential candidates calling for the CIA to be abolished in 2005, to prevent further CIA covert actions in the 21st century?
