Actually, it occurred to not a few activists in Seattle that the US would suffer *another* attack; remember the 1st attack on the WTC was simply an engineering failure in terms of a demolition strategy. Also, the Timothy McVeigh syndrome and the potential for such future occurrences by marginalized groups in the US for creating such atrocities loomed in the background. These issues were talked about more by women than men in the runup to N30.
