Iran has indicated it will conditionally accept the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Additional Protocol as early as October 4, according to source familiar with the country’s strategic planning. Tehran’s prickly disposition toward joining the protocol, which would allow expanded inspections of its nuclear facilities, has been a major source of global tension, involving Iran, the United States and the European Union.
