But, again, the only thing that matters from Bush's point of view is that pressure be taken off the Army and Guard reserves, thus reducing the political heat from their families and the military. Turkish troops go a long way towards accomplishing this goal. Once the "reserves" issue is settled, Iraq is effectively off the table as a political issue.
