As opposed to giving one, e.g., to Gary Becker? Who just hada column in the WSJ about how our engineers and doctors are so much better than anyone else's 'cause our taxes are so low; people won't make the investment in human capital necessary to be a Dr or engineer if they have to pay high taxes. I swear (or affirm) that he actually says this. Nobel Prize my ass. If I were Krugman, I'd refuse it, like Sartre did, or Le Duc Tho. It would be humiliating to share a prize with the likes of Becker.

jks
