Found this while lokking for the Oscar Wilde quote:

http://www.poetsforthewar.org/index.shtml

A ssmple:

Confessions of a Raging Moderate - Part Two (Dust on the Shelves) Oscar Wilde said that socialism meant a lot of long evenings During those evenings a better world would be hailed Many thousands of evenings and many thousands of declarations later One can only conclude that this endeavor has failed

The old man in the armchair claims it has never been tried I am not one to question his experience or nobility Yet almost everywhere the theory has been applied Has led to the suppression of freedom and mobility

A young woman speaks of Palestinians under so-called occupation His manifesto is a curious labyrinth of lament She conveniently ignores their murderous incantations Indeed they are the authors of their own discontent

Bombarded by catcalls, jeers and a hiss You ready the tar and feathers to flog As usual the main point has been missed The chance to engage in genuine political dialogue

Yet you refuse to take such a chance It would mean talking to someone other than yourselves Learn the steps of the democratic dance Or your ideas will gather dust on the shelves
