The European Court of Human Rights has satisfied a complaint filed by a Russian national Tatiana Slivenko, who was unlawfully expelled from Latvia where she had lived most of her life. The court ordered the Latvian authorities to pay Tatiana and her daughter 10,000 euros (EUR) each for non-pecuniary damage and grant them a permanent residence permit. 20 similar claims have already been filed to the European Court.
