Works of art are personal communications; they don't necessarily speak to everyone.

It's like love. A person can be very beautiful or handsome and have all sorts of sterling qualities. But that doesn't mean that everyone will love them. And someone else may be rather unattractive to you, but the love of my life.

Those who do love someone can't "explain" why everyone's supposed to love that person. Explanations are ultimately futile.
