"...why did Camejo and Huffington fall so flat?"

this has come up before...they did not fall flat because they lacked support, at least in camejo's case...too many of those who actually voted for him in the last election were actually frightened into voting against him this time, by the hysterical panic campaign of the democrats...that line was swallowed, entirely, by what passes for the official left around here...

kpfa's morning show, amy goodman, and most commentators on the station all were purveying the dem party line about the sex-fiend-nazi, carrying ridiculous tales of his hitler worship, and entertaining far fetched views that found - according to one woman - that maria shriver was a "victim" of the groper... yeah, right, this rich, privileged woman, credited with running a good part of his campaign and getting him on the oprah show, was a slave of the governator....

this kind of crap worked all too well in the bay area, causing many camejo voters from the last election to switch, as is obvious by the fact that he got a greater percentage last time, even though this time, he reached and impressed far more people, if post debate polls mean anything...

the biggest defeat was suffered by the democrats, but the bay area left acted like the left wing of the dlc...shameful, and sad...
