static ideological categories that do not allow for the much more fungible 
political reality. Thus, your channeling of Charles Brown seems quaint and 
atavistic in the era of neo-liberalism and Third Way, where Tony Blair flows 
effortlessly from a love affair with Clinton to Bush 43, and many leftists 
of yesteryear have morphed into freemarketeers. Indeed, even the ANC 
luminaries in South Africa (not even counting the nationalist 
petty-bourgeoisie element) have now all become petty capitalists, if not 
Thatcherites. You are fond of shoe-horning everything into your turgid 
left-right framework, oblivious to actual ideological currents in the real 
world that defy that old taxonomy.
