DENNIS A LEADER ON GUN CONTROL Last Sunday, prior to the candidates' debate in Detroit, Kucinich was the only candidate to accept an invitation from a Detroit community group, Save Our Sons and Daughters, and meet with them to learn about gun violence in the city. Dennis raised the issue in the debate, as he had promised the group he would. The next day, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, together with the Million Mom March, commended Kucinich and Sen. John Kerry "for Standing up to the NRA." <http://www.jointogether.org/gv/news/alerts/reader/0>,2061,567390,00.html
Meanwhile, the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence is calling Kucinich and Rep. Dick Gephardt "leaders in the fight to rid America's streets of military-style assault weapons once and for all," recognizing them for cosponsoring a bill to renew and strengthen the assault weapon ban. <http://www.candidatesonguns.org>
