Which one? The Stoics?
Nature for the Stoics meant the divine order, not trees and oceans and
stuff.
Nature was viewed by the Greeks as hostile, generally. But they of course
lived in a society in which "nature" meant wolves, disease and earthquakes,
not pretty sunsets.
