I remember a lot of moaning. Usually along the lines of "Oh, God, we're going to have another war," and "Oh, God, we have a fuckhead like Bush in charge, so Halliburton'll make out like crazy" and "Oh, God, they're going to drive the Palestinians into the sea" and "Oh, God, Ashcroft is Attorney- General," and "Oh, God, they're going to crack down on just about anyone who _looked_ at a rich person wrong."
Seemed sensible.
