The pace of events in Nepal have accelerated in the last few weeks. The
ceasefire between the revolutionaries and the Royal Government
terminated in the last days of August, a sequence set off by the
massacre of unarmed political activists by the Royal Army

Government has banned all gatherings and carried out mass arrests of
protesters <http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/WO0309/S00090.htm>
There are now U.S. military "advisors" with the Royal Army.
