Doug posted (UPFJ flyer statement by Steven Staples which starts):

Globalization, more correctly called corporate globalization, is founded upon a conservative, free market-oriented worldview that seeks to limit the economic impact of government actions.

and asserts the following -

1. Globalization promotes the conditions for war

2. Globalization promotes military spending over social spending.

3. Globalization requires police and military protection of corporate interests.

4. Globalization undermines grassroots peace work.

**********

The late British physicist David Bohm once wrote that while bad theories are simply wrong good theories are true - but only up to a certain point.

The thesis has legs. The argument that corporate engineered 'globalization' enhances the conditions for war is the strongest of the bunch.

But it must be said that since governments have almost always preferred military to social spending, the wealthy have always enjoyed a surplus of police protection (even before the corporate age) and peace work has been undermined in every age to pin all these things on 'globalization' is ahistorical thinking.
