When the Mujuahedeen were fighting Soviet occupation, they were "freeedom fighters" in the same sense as the NLF--which is why it's very stupid to apply the term "freedom fighters" to any group whose ideology is essentially anti-liberal. Why not stick to the more neutral "anti-occupation forces"?
